So High

Tie me down to the tracks on the riverside,
train rollin over my hands.

Bustin loose in the middle of the night,
like a wind blowin over the sand.

Stand around and ya moan and complain
but you never really do a thing.

As one hand tries to steal from the other,
listen to your door-bell ring..

I'd write about it but there's nothin I can do,
If you look hard enough you'll see through.

They're lyin to you every minute of the day,
I had a good laugh, then I had to look away...

Back in the day we had it made in the shade
livin just for gettin' our kicks

My rythm is old,it's just a couple of bones,
bangin on a couple of sticks.

Diggin so deep but you're never gonna find
the secrets that you seek.

It's all in your head but you'd be better off dead
if you don't think before you speak.

I'd sing about it but there's nothin I can say...
Gotta gather all the trash and throw it all away.

My mama's gettin old,her knees are gettin weak,
we'd all do better off to think before we speak..

Serenade ya with a song about a suicide,
Child I gonna brighten your day.

Lift you up til you can see the sun,
Then I'm gonna take it away.

Chase me down in the moonlight baby,
Meet ya on the otherside.

Got a taste of what you been looking for,

I got a ticket to ride..

I'm gonna walk away with a smile on my face.

There's plenty other worlds that I can chase.

When all the fluids gone, the well runs dry,

My feet don't touch the ground cuz I'm so high..

So High...
